Paint plant for St Petersburg in cooperation between Finnish Teknos and CTS Engtec

The Finnish Teknos Group is to invest in Russia by building a new paint factory in St Petersburg. The Stage P + W (project and working drawing) planning for the new factory will be handled by CTS Engtec 's Russian subsidiary. The assignment will support the company's position as a strong player in planning, licensing and project management services in Russia.

The broad overall design includes the plant, architecture and structural engineering, in addition to electrical, automation, ventilation, environmental, fire safety, water supply and sewage engineering.

The agreement with Teknos covers OOO CTS Engtec's General Designer certified activities, GIP (main project engineer) and GAP (principal architect) tasks, all permitting services and authority approvals for the plant implementation and start-up phases.

OOO CTS Engtec will be responsible also for  engineering management, project schedules, procurement of auxiliary equipment, design of the interfaces and preparation of all permitting documents according to the contract and in accordance with Russian legislation and regulations.

High level of expertise

The Managing director of CTS Engtec, Mr. Antti Lukka, is satisfied to the contract.

Our St. Petersburg subsidiary has a high level of expertise and is fully able to handle the regulatory requirements for large-scale industrial projects. We have managed to recruit genuinely top-notch professionals and have gathered a good team of experts from different fields, Lukka says.

The factory will be built in the Marjino Industrial Park, which is managed by VTB Capital. The plant is expected to be launched in 2014.
